Matches burn

When I was probably 10 or so, I started collecting match boxes or covers.  I thought it was kind of interesting, all the different kinds.  I amassed a good box of them under my bed.  Once in awhile I would light a candle in my room or burn something.  Mom found that and flipped out on me and threw them all away or took them away, probably a good idea.

Awful Trip....Charmaine Becker

I really hope you get this on time. I didn't tell you about my visit to Spain with my family for a short vacation, but unfortunately we were robbed at the hotel where we lodged along with other folks. We did not bring our phones here and the hotel telephone lines were disconnected during the incident. So we have access to only emails. Please I'm going to need some sort of loan from you for us to relocate to another hotel close to the embassy and also to get another flight ticket. Those thieves made away with our credit cards as well which is why this can't be resolved instantly.

We have been to the Embassy and the Police here are not helping issues at all and our flight leaves tomorrow..Please, Let me know if you can help us out?

I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

Regards,
Charmaine

Lear and the pheasant

One summer Ruby and Ivan's dog just strolled out of the woods with a full grown pheasant in it's mouth. That dog never did much of anything as I recall so I was impressed. I think the pheasant was a hen. Years ago there were alot of pheasants in this area. Now you never see any.

Dirt balls

When I was a young teenager all the kids in the neighborhood were together one night. That may not have been a good thing. We are talking like a dozen youth. So of course this led to some bad ideas. We were walking in the farm field behind some houses and came upon the neighbor's pool. For some strange reason we decided to throw huge dirt clods into the pool. So 2 of us did it. I was one of them and Kari Keene. I still vividly remember the loud splash! We ran like crazy. I didn't give it much thought. So the next day I see the cops driving through our neighborhood. I was petrified! I hid in the basement. They never questioned me but my mom did. I confessed and ended up getting grounded but I never went to jail! I later found out their pool was completely muddied up. I felt genuine remorse over that. Even a bunch of pretty good kids can get some bad ideas once in awhile.
